Cocounsel: (n). One who shares with one or more others the duties of providing counsel and especially legal counsel to someone.

Banias Law, LLC (“BL”) does not do immigration petitions. We focus on litigation in federal court. In an effort to expand litigation services to firms that do not litigate, BL works with partner firms to litigate cases for their clients. But like any relationship, definitions are key to their success. Here are the roles of BL and their Partner Firms in this type of litigation:

Banias Law, LLC:

  • Provide onboarding materials - Contracts, Questionnaires, Spreadsheets, and Waivers.

  • Handle All Parts of the Litigation - Drafting, Filing, Serving, Briefing, Arguing and Settling.

  • Provide Updates on Litigation - Keep you informed about case progress.

Partner Firm LLC:

  • Onboard Clients - Explain case to client, answer FAQs.

  • Gather and Provide Client Info: Get signatures, Ensure questionnaire completion. Arrange payment.

  • Client Communication - Respond to routine inquiries about case. Pass on clients with special cases.

If you’d like to cocounsel with Banias Law, we do require that you sign a co-counsel agreement. As noted above, litigation is our sole business. Thus, I ask you to sign this agreement to protect my research and development efforts. You can review and sign the cocounsel agreement below. Once you sign, BL will receive notification that you’ve signed and we will countersign. Upon countersigning, you will receive information about how to create a members-only account where you will have access to all of the onboarding information, private message board, and updates on ongoing litigation efforts.
